The LED booth — an alternative to the traditional booth
Why we introduced the LED igloo booth: a compact, colour-changing shell that suits dark venues and small function rooms where a traditional booth will not fit.
We are always looking at ways to meet what clients keep asking for, and two requests came up again and again through 2015: something that photographs well in a dark room, and something that fits into a function room where a traditional booth simply will not go.
In October 2015 we introduced the LED igloo to answer both.
What it is
A self-supporting dome that lights up from the inside in any colour you choose. Guests step in, the shell glows, and the light comes from all around them rather than from a flash pointed at their faces. The result is an even, flattering exposure that stays consistent from the first shot of the night to the last.
Why the size matters
The footprint is about 2.4m square — noticeably smaller than a conventional booth once you allow for the queue. It has fitted into rooms where we would previously have had to say no, and because it packs down flat it goes through a normal doorway and into a service lift.
Colour to match your event
Pick a single colour to sit with your room’s uplighting, or set a sequence that changes through the evening. In a dark venue the booth ends up being part of the lighting design as much as the entertainment, which is not something we expected when we bought it.
